There is only one thing you need to know about biology:

Every living thing can be traced back to a single common ancestor.

Everything else is a consequence or an extension of this one simple statement. Ever since Darwin's book appeared, involvement of the various driving forces of evolution has been fiercely disputed, which I do not expect to wane in the foreseeable future, even though we have come a long way since the great man (who was totally ignorant of genetics or DNA). In this era of genomics, for example, the role of gene duplications is just beginning to be appreciated as a major factor in speciation. We still have a lot to learn in this respect, but one thing we can safely say that the above statement is very unlikely to be proven wrong.

This leads me to one of your comments. You say that the theories concerning the nature of energy or photons may be superseded in the future. Does this mean that

a) you do not accept these as comprehensive frameworks of all the evidence and true in the sense my statement about biology is true?

or

b) you accept them as true but expect refinement just as in the case of evolution?

or

c) you expect major revisions of these theories, even to the extent of refutation?
