So bummed I was never able to avail to this great extension. Looks like I'm out of luck finding one that will help me. I hope to find it in the near future. As an educator it would be great to have this extension help keep track of all the google docs I have shared with me from my students as well as what I share with them, teachers alike. Good luck with the reprogramming. I know I am unable to do what you do. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic! I am starting a journaling exercise with a class of students and was looking for a way to avoid having to check all of the Google Docs manually. I did some searching and found out about WatchDoc and it sounded EXACTLY like what I needed! I went to install it and it was gone. SO glad I found your blog, looking forward to its return!

Hey,

I'm really glad it was useful for you! I took it off the store because pretty much all the Google APIs that I used were depreciated, so all of the internal functionality of the extension was broken. I'm fixing it now, while replacing some of the functionality with the new way Google wants it is not trivial (for me). Will put it back as soon as I get it done, and let you know.

The Github repository won't be removed :)

Cheers, and thanks a lot for dropping me a line!

hey Gregely!

I stumbled uppon your blog while looking for a way to download WatchDoc, since it has been off the chrome webstore for quite a while now.
I'v downloaded it back when it was up on a few of my computers, and still happily using it, yet now that it is down I can't install it on new devices. So I thought maybe I could find a workaround, like finding the actual installation files and install it manually.

Anyway, when I saw this blog I just HAD to tell you how much I love the app! As an addicted Drive user and an enthusiastic collaborator, WatchDoc made my life so much easier.
Sure, there are a few extra features that would make it greater, but as basic needs go - it is just what I needed.

I hope you don't mind I went to your GitHub repo and downloaded a copy of it (straight to my Drive ;) ) for safekeeping for a day to come that I will have the time to dig into it and maybe even tweak it a bit further..

All and all, you indeed have my thumbs up on this project. Hope you relaunch it someday.
